Strategies for reading in the content area, vocabulary acquisition and content fluency help students learn. Lessons and activities are classroom ready. Bring your students face-to-face with experts from across the state and around the world through ICN videoconferencing. A wide variety of events offered throughout the year help your students understand Iowa's past and present. 2008 Iowa Pathways Summer Workshops
Discover how Iowa Pathways connects literacy, technology and inquiry strategies with Iowa history, while inviting your students to develop an appreciation of their heritage as Iowans. Join other teachers to share ideas, strategies and plans to use Iowa content in your classroom. Working by yourself or in a group, you will design a classroom-ready plan to integrate these new tools in your content area. This course will inspire Iowa teachers of History, Social Studies, Language Arts, Reading, Technology/Media, TAG, and more. Course offered for re-licensure and graduate credit.
