Beck is the Des Moines Bureau Chief for KUNI
Public Radio in Cedar Falls.
As KUNI's primary Statehouse reporter, Beck covers
the political beat and the Iowa General Assembly,
and is heard in frequent reports on the station's
Morning Edition and on the afternoon news almanac,
All Things Considered.
Additionally, Beck hosts a monthly call-in program
with Governor Tom Vilsack for KUNI, and previously
was host and moderator of the monthly call-in program
with Governor Terry Branstad on WHO, Des Moines.
Beck is a 1993 Journalism graduate of Iowa State University,
and is a native of Ames, Iowa.
