Responsible for the management of the Sustaining Donor program which provides stable and renewable support to Iowa Public Television through Members who donate monthly and automatically through their credit card or bank accounts. The Sustaining Donor Manager’s primary responsibilities are acquiring new sustaining donors and retaining the current ones to help create a passionate, loyal and steadfast family of donors.

This position coordinates fundraising efforts with the Membership Vice President and the Foundation President.

Performance Responsibilities:

·  Develops annual marketing plan to both increase sustainer giving and maintain an active donor base. Tests and retests various donor segments and methods for maximum revenue.

·  Sets yearly revenue goals and strives to meet them.  

·  Analyzes Sustaining membership numbers and revenue. Makes appropriate changes for maximum efficiency, revenue and retention.

·  Maintains marketing materials for digital, print and broadcast activities.

·  Develops customer service plan and provides primary correspondence to Sustainer's inquires.

·  In conjunction with the IPTV Donor Engagement Manager, develops events and activities to foster loyalty and retention.

·  Creates and maintains inventory of Sustaining Membership stationery.

·  Assists in preparation of quarterly reports to IPTV Foundation Board.

·  Assists in staff responsibilities during on-air fundraising and the Iowa State Fair.

·  Performs other duties as assigned.

The Sustaining Donor Manager’s typical week will be divided as follows:

20% Donor data analysis

40% Customer Service

40% Marketing to and Acquisition of new sustaining donors

Terms of Employment:

Full time, regular, at will employee. Must have valid driver's license.

Job Requirements

·  College degree or experience working in or overseeing a fundraising program

·  Marketing skills both traditional and digital (social media and email)

·  Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs

·  Good customer service skills, understands the needs and interests of donors

·  Good writing skills
