Iowa Outdoors Season 6 Premieres June 2 at 6:30 p.m.

On Thursday, June 2 at 6:30 p.m., viewers across the state can enjoy the premiere of season 6 of Iowa Outdoors, an Iowa Public Television series focusing on outdoor recreation, environmental issues, conservation initiatives and Iowa’s outdoor natural resources. The series is created through a partnership between Iowa Public Television and the Iowa Department of Natural Resources.

In season six, Iowa Outdoors hosts Scott Siepker and Kellie Kramer revisit viewer favorites from the first five seasons of Iowa Outdoors. This season looks back on the photographers, thrill seekers, water adventurers, conservationists and winter lovers that enjoy the Iowa outdoors year-round.

Whether biking, gliding, blading or zip-lining, Iowa can be an extreme place to experience the outdoors. In the June 2 premiere of Iowa Outdoors, viewers can discover new mountain biking trails, traverse the Iowa skyways with only a parachute and large fan, feel the adrenaline rush of skating Iowa’s various skate parks and hold on for a zip lining adventure in northeast Iowa.

Following the June 2 premiere, viewers can see this episode again Saturday, June 4 at 8:30 a.m. New episodes will air the first Thursday of every month at 6:30 p.m. and repeat the following Saturday at 8:30 a.m., through November.
