Iowa Public Television presents Downton Abbey Live!

In anticipation of the September 2019 release of the Downton Abbey feature film, Downton Abbey Live! is a celebration of all aspects of the wildly successful British drama – the stellar cast, superb writing, spectacular locations and dazzling costumes. Broadcast from New York City before a live studio audience, scheduled participants include cast members Phyllis Logan (Mrs. Hughes), Lesley Nicol (Mrs. Patmore), Kevin Doyle (Molesley) and Harry Hadden-Paton (Bertie) with executive producers Gareth Neame and Liz Trubridge.

Iowa Public Television will broadcast the live event, scheduled for Sunday, August 18 at 8 p.m., on IPTV Create.4 because State Fair Talent Championship 2019 will be airing on IPTV.1. Viewers will have two additional opportunities see the recorded version of Downton Abbey Live! Sunday, August 25 at 7 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. on IPTV.1.

Driven by lively conversation, the program will reveal never-before-heard stories from the PBS series plus clips of the upcoming movie and a warm look back at one of the most successful period dramas in history. In addition, PBS viewers from around the country will have an opportunity to have their questions about the series and upcoming movie answered by the cast and creators. Viewers who would like to submit questions can do so via social media using the hashtag #DowntonLivePBS.
