Iowa Public Television announced today the launch of a new online-exclusive web series, Time Travel Iowa . The series will premiere Friday, July 6 on Facebook , YouTube and Iptv.org . Time Travel Iowa is an exploration of Iowa’s history as told through the histories behind various artifacts found in museums across the state. Coverage of Iowa girls’ high school championships continues, as teams from across the state take to the field for the 2018 IGHSAU Iowa Farm Bureau Girls State Soccer Championships . Coverage of each class title game will take place at the James W. Cownie Soccer Park in Des Moines. In order to broaden opportunities for minority and female high school students in Iowa, Iowa Public Television (IPTV) is offering a television production mentorship program for summer 2018. The unpaid mentorship program will give two students the opportunity to observe and gain hands-on experience in all aspects of media journalism including videography, lighting/set design, video editing, graphic design, web production and storytelling.
