Time to Get Active and Make Healthier Choices

Did you know that March is National Nutrition Month? Join us in taking a pledge this month (and every month!) to help motivate students to lead healthier lifestyles with Move It!, an original, award-winning children's program and part of WSKG Public Media’s “Working on Wellness” initiative. This health and wellness series focuses on keeping families active, nutritional education and self-awareness by offering tips and resources all about physical activity, label reading, Geocaching, sugary drinks and bullying. Children will watch professional athletes and Move It! cast members dissect how much sugar goes into certain beverages and what all of those elements on labels really mean for the body. Parents will be pleasantly surprised to see their children excited and knowledgeable about reading packaging labels at the grocery store, inspiring their family to make healthier choices. This resource collection is fun for the whole family and will get everyone moving and making good on those New Year’s resolutions from just a few months ago! This resource is for students in grades 2-6.
