Adult Learning Center Spotlight: Iowa Central Community College

In our commitment to lifelong learning, Iowa Public Television highlights adult learning centers across Iowa.This month the spotlight is on Iowa Central Community College (ICCC).

The main campus for Iowa Central Community College (ICCC) is in Fort Dodge with other campuses located in Webster City and Storm Lake. ICCC serves Buena Vista, Sac, Pocahontas, Calhoun, Green, Humboldt, Webster, Hamilton, and Wright counties. General Education Development (GED)
GED classes are offered in eight counties. Students study with trained instructors to successfully complete the five GED subtest areas: Writing, Math, Literature, Science, and Social Studies. Official GED tests are administered in Fort Dodge, Webster City, Storm Lake, and Jefferson.

English as a Second Language (ESL)
English as a Second Language (ESL) classes are offered in four cities: Fort Dodge, Eagle Grove, Webster City, and Storm Lake. Adults whose first language is not English can study English to improve in the areas of reading, speaking, listening, and writing. All levels of learners are welcome!

Adult Volunteer Tutor Program
Trained volunteers are available to work one-on-one with adult students who are interested in learning to read or improving their basic reading skills.
