The "Broadcasters Guide to MXF" is an introduction to MXF, the open-standard solution embraced by the industry for file-based and streaming media exchange. As broadcasting infrastructure moves from traditional hardware to IT-based solutions, likewise baseband video is increasingly being replaced by files stored on servers. With the need to provide a common framework for interconnection and interoperability, MXF is being simultaneously developed and adopted by television equipment providers, content producers, and broadcasters.
