The measurements of 8-VSB signals present challenges that are totally different that with NTSC. This presentation will identify and provide assistance in describing measurement techniques for 8-VSB DTV signals for mandatory FCC compliance, recommended, and "nice-to-do" tests. The presentation will recommend test equipment needed for the measurements, provide expected waveforms and results. A major part of the presentation will focus on FCC spectrum mask compliance and the pitfalls and tips needed for accurate measurement
