Iowa DTV Symposium Will Take a Hiatus in 2009

Because of budget constraints in these unprecedented economic times, the Iowa DTV Symposium will take a hiatus in 2009.

For 14 years, Iowa Public Television has been proud to produce and host the Iowa DTV Symposium. During that time, the Symposium has grown into a premier Midwestern digital television conference, drawing media professionals from across the nation. Because of budget constraints in these unprecedented economic times, the Iowa DTV Symposium will take a hiatus in 2009. The decision to pause the Symposium was a difficult one because of its national reach and high-caliber speakers.

Materials from past Symposiums are still available online at www.iptv.org/dtv - including video of past presentations, supporting materials, and more. Iowa Public Television is grateful for the generous support of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, the investments of corporate sponsors, and the thousands of participants in this event over the years, and looks forward to considering the feasibility of the Symposium in 2010.
