Iowa Central Community College

The main campus for Iowa Central Community College (ICCC) is in Fort Dodge with other campuses located in Webster City and Storm Lake. ICCC serves Buena Vista, Sac, Pocahontas, Calhoun, Green, Humboldt, Webster, Hamilton, and Wright counties. General Education Development (GED)
Students may register on their first day of class and study at an individualized pace with qualified instructors. Classes and pre-tests are tuition free. Students study to pass the five subtests of the GED Test: Literature, Writing, Math, Science, and Social Studies. GED official testing is completed on Iowa Central Community College campus by appointment at a cost of $100 which includes all five tests and the GED diploma.

English as a Second Language (ESL)
Students can improve English skills in the areas of listening, speaking, reading, and writing throughout the Iowa Central area. Participants at all levels of learning work with qualified teachers and have opportunities to use computer software such as Rosetta Stone.

Return to Learn and Tutoring
Students receive help with basic skills in math, reading, or GED preparation. Return to Learn classes are available in Storm Lake and Fort Dodge. Tutors can be requested.

Family Literacy
Even Start Family Literacy Programs in Fort Dodge and Storm Lake serve the whole family by providing childhood education, adult education, parenting classes, and parent-child learning time. Adults can learn parenting skills and work on GED or English skills in this program.

Workforce Literacy Program
Dedicated to the success of its students, the Workforce Literacy Program is ready to help participants gain skills needed to enter an exciting career path. Tuition-free pre-skill classes will be offered in the areas of truck driving, Pre-certified Nursing Assistant, computers, job- seeking,and welding.
