Goal:
Students will evaluate various factors related to energy sources,
needs, and consumption, and will use reasoning and evidence to make
decisions about how to meet the future energy needs of their community.
Primary Objectives:
After viewing content and interactions presented, students will
be able to:
- Identify
various sources of energy, explaining the benefits, costs, and
consequences of using the sources of energy.
- Define
how energy is generated through various methods, including applying
concepts of energy conservation and energy transformation.
- Identify
various influences on energy use and policy, including geographic,
political, economic, and environmental.
- Analyze
interactions between the natural environment and humans.
Secondary
Objectives:
- Students
will demonstrate competence in writing, listening, speaking, and
presenting an argument, including an application of basic principles
of logic and reasoning.
- Students
will collaborate with peers, experts, and others to write and
present products using technology resources that demonstrate and
communicate curriculum concepts to audiences inside and outside
the classroom.
