This entrepreneur is in the thick of "thin film" solar cell manufacturing. Explore more about Jeffrey's take on the future of energy.
Transcript: Solar Storage
Storage is an issue for any of the forms of energy conversion like wind or solar. When you have a very small application like a portable radio, you have a rechargeable battery. It's a very small item. It's very easy to deal with. You can store a lot of energy relative to the needs of the radio in that battery and keep it charged. It's a simple project. When you're talking about large amount of power to run air conditioners, that begins to get a lot of storage required. And that's why the peaking power becomes an easy first strike for solar because that's when you have sunlight and you need the power.
