Transcript: Energy Efficiency

If you look at the energy chain, this is from mining the coal to pumping the oil out of the ground to the end-use consumption down to this little microchip, that energy chain is only about 5-10% efficient. We've got a couple hundred years to take that 96% inefficiency and use it to our advantage. So the drive really is to improve efficiency at every stage along that chain. To convert fuel much more efficiently, to transport it much more efficiently and to use it much more efficiently. Efficiency is the key. Efficiency is the key to the future.
