Definition :All of the living and non-living parts of a given area in nature and their relationship to one another.
  
Facts: All organisms within an ecosystem depend on one another, directly or indirectly. An example of indirect dependence: a curve in a river captures cool breezes that are perfect for attracting a certain type of fly. An example of direct dependence : a bird eats only a certain type of fly.
