What Comes In (Bill Stowe, Wastewater Treatment Expert)

What goes in must come out. Hear how it happens from Bill Stowe.
TRANSCRIPT:

The wastewater that we treat in this facility includes not only the kind of water that your house generates from washing your hands, and going to the bathroom and taking a shower, preparing food, but we also have to treat water from big businesses that manufacture things using water, like milk processing or dairy processing, or many chemical plants, like those actually around the facility we're talking from right now. They all use water. Each of those types of wastewater come into this facility and we carefully monitor to make sure that the wastewater coming into this facility doesn't contain some kind of pollutant that would kill the aerobic and anaerobic microorganisms that we use in the process.
