Steve Peters

Steve Peters holds a B.S. degree in Political Science and an M.A. degree in Social Science Education from Truman State University. He is Iowa certified to teach all secondary social science classes.

Mr. Peters has been with the Des Moines Public School District for thirty years and currently teaches at Scavo High School where he has served as NCA Steering Committee chair. Steve has served as a charter member, board president, and treasurer of the Iowa Association of Alternative Education. In that capacity Mr. Peters has served as treasurer and Steering Committee member for the Risky Business conference. In addition he is a member of the Phi Delta Kappa chapter.

Mr. Peters teaches American Government and Politics for Iowa Learning Online.
