This training will assist licensed child care centers and preschools in understanding and implementing the new child care center rule changes related to Senate File 478.
Target Audience:
- Owners, administrators, and supervisors of preschools and child care centers that are licensed through the Department of Human Services
- Early Childhood Consultants from Area Education Agencies, CCR&R, ISU Extension and others who serve preschools and child care centers that are licensed through the Department of Human Services
- DHS licensing staff
Purpose:
This training will assist licensed child care centers and preschools in understanding and implementing the new child care center rule changes related to Senate File 478.
Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of this training, participants will be able to:
- Understand the key provisions of the rule changes
- Understand their role in properly implementing the rule changes
- Understand the role of the Department of Public Safety, law enforcement, and DHS in the record check process
- Understand the role of DHS in processing licensure and records checks fees and monitoring compliance
- Be familiar with the forms associated with the rule changes
