Curse of the Mummy's Tomb

Event sponsored by African American Museum of Iowa.

Was King Tut’s tomb cursed? How were mummies made? Who built the pyramids? Why was the Nile so important? Journey to ancient Egypt with the African American Historical Museum to find out! And beware: a mummy may rise and come to life! The downloadable classroom materials include some fun mummy math, a recommended Egyptian reading list and some activities your class can do at school.

Join the African American Museum of Iowa for this 50-minute session to unwrap the secrets of Ancient Egypt!

Teachers registering for this event agree to provide each student with the following materials:

  • pencil
  • one piece of 8 1/2 X 11 plain paper

Confirmed registrants for this session receive the complimentary book Mummies Bones and Body Parts or alternate title.
