Engage Students in Global and Environmental Issues With Material World and Other Great Books Subject Areas:     Language Arts/Communication     Professional Development     Science     Social Studies You’ll be introduced to several great books and other resources to help your students gain insights into people and environments around the world. These character-building materials are great for exploratory or team teaching. They focus on real issues that students find relevant to their lives. Great ties to social studies, science, math and language arts. Easily adapted for 3-9th grades. Notes: Sessions are provided at no cost to PK-12 students and the adults working with or on behalf of PK-12 students in Iowa.
