PLEASE READ THE EVENT DESCRIPTION THOROUGHLY. PRINT THE DESCRIPTION, AND RETAIN IT FOR FUTURE REFERENCE. Jack Prelutsky has written many children's books of poetry and stories. In this session, participants will read and discuss several of his works, learn about his childhood and how he started writing, see a video with a few of his poems set to animation and do some of our own writing.
Just as Mr. Prelutsky has collaborated with other writers, the students in this session will write some silly tongue twisters in small groups. Students are also welcome to bring their own tongue twister riddles to share during the session.
