This is a replay of the DVD recording of the original session from 10/30. Purpose: To assist child care businesses in understanding the OSHA requirements pertaining to bloodborne pathogens and to aid those businesses in complying with OSHA regulations.
Target Audience: Child Care Business owners/directors and those consultants called upon to assist these businesses.
Learning Objectives: Participants will be able to:
- Identify the federal regulations applying to early care and education businesses pertaining to the spread of bloodborne diseases.
- Identify how bloodborne diseases spread.
- Identify disease spread prevention strategies and methods.
- Identify components of an exposure control plan
- Identify required steps to comply with prevention of disease spread and response to exposure to bloodborne disease.

Child Care Provider Training Certificates: To receive your certificate you must complete ALL of the following steps.

Child Care Provider Training Certificates: To receive your certificate you must complete ALL of the following steps.
- Each person planning to attend must register online for the course. There is no group registration available for this course. YOU must register to receive credit.
- The day of the training, all attendees must sign-in to the training.
- Complete the post-test. The online link to the post-test will be sent to you via the email address you provide during registration.
- You will need to provide your name, name of child care or early education business or school, personal email address, and telephone number to receive continuing education credit and have a certificate sent to you.
- Complete and submit the online the post-test. The post-test will be available for completion through close of business Friday, November 30, 2009.
