Join this session to give your students an early introduction and understanding of what an archaeologist does in their daily work. Staff from the University of Iowa, Office of the State Archaeologist, will be on hand to read a great story about archeology to your students. She will also talk a little about what she does in her job so students understand the career of an archaeologist. She will also show a few artifacts that she has found on sites. Students always enjoy this presentation as it really is fascinating to hear that in Iowa we have active dig sites and a great archeological history to share.
