Stories & More ICN sessions are interactive, educational and fun! During the session we read stories, watch short videos, sing songs, discuss and do activities. Participating in ICN sessions is a great way to get children excited about technology as well as our various topics. Content is geared toward Prek-1st grade audiences. ICN Sessions are offered by Iptv and the ICN at NO COST to participants. You will also receive a supplementary book to keep in your classroom, library, or center. DECEMBER: Counting & Number Concepts Great Counting books that may be used in session: - Numbers, by Susan Canizares and Daniel Moreton
- Patterns, by Samantha Berger and Daniel Moreton
- Mouse Count, by Ellen Stoll Walsh
- Ten Black Dots, by Donald Crews
MATERIALS NEEDED FOR THIS SESSION: - Numberline Worksheet - one copy for every two students
- Counting Manipulatives of some kind
- Three to four colors of manipulatives for patterning work. Students will work in pairs and each pair will need 15-20 individual pieces of something. The presenter will use tri-colored noodles and colored fish-shaped crackers as examples (items such as dried beans, noodles, chips, cereal, small colored pieces of paper or foam, etc. would work here as long as there is three to four different things).
