K-12 Connections Event
So…What Happens after High School? Taped
Subject Areas:
    Careers/Vocational Education
    Guidance/Personal Growth
This is a replay of a session that occurred in 2012. If the time we have this set up does not work for your class; please contact us and we will deliver to your ICN room at the time you specify. See contact information below.

Does the learning clock come to a screeching halt after graduation? Then what?

Do you have students who have the potential, but perhaps not the role model or confidence, to pursue a college degree or some kind of advanced training? Or students who may think their family can’t afford to send them? Or maybe students who just don’t understand the importance of this critical decision and planning process?

We know that an advanced education sets people apart in the job market. The United States Department of Labor Bureau of Labor Statistics recently posted a page that demonstrates how education impacts employment and earnings. The figures are quite startling and all indications are that the trend will continue.

Join this session to hear from a person who may have been in that same boat a few years ago but today has a PhD. His parents worked for 30 years in an auto factory and today he works for a college in Iowa. He will share the story of how he got where he is and why it was important to him and his family.

Getting there is the first step and finishing what you start is even more important. Our presenter’s engaging presentation will inspire all of your students to be the best they can be! Sign up today!
