Animal Habitats

Join a naturalist from the Warren County Conservation Board to investigate a variety of animal habitats and discuss the importance of preserving these fragile environments. The presenter defines 'habitat' and describes the wildlife and habitats found in Iowa. Photos and animal mounts are used throughout the presentation. We'll also sing a song about habitats. This interactive program also allows time for student questions so please come prepared. Confirmed registrants receive a free copy ofThe Perfect Nest, The Busy Tree and Animals or alternate titles for their classroom libraries. 1. Knows that plants and animals need certain resources for energy and growth (e.g., food, water, light, air)

Level II [Grade: 3-5]
