Read Across America: The Lorax

Celebrate Read Across America Day and The Lorax with IPTV and Warren County Conservation! Naturalist Joel VanRoekel will explore the world of The Lorax by Dr. Seuss through reading, activities and more!

Joel will share his love of books as well as his love of animals by comparing the world of The Lorax to the real-life world of a naturalist, who educates people about protecting natural resources and wildlife. Students will also learn about some of Iowa's most threatened species.

Registrants agree to provide the following materials for their class:

  • one piece of paper per student
  • one sharpened pencil per student

Following this ICN session, confirmed registrants receive the complimentary books The Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot About That! I Love the Nightlife! and The Cat in the Hat: Miles and Miles of Reptiles or alternate titles.
