Archaeology and Egypt
Subject Area:
    Social Studies

Egypt is filled with mysteries that could only be uncovered using clues left by the Ancients. Archaeologists have worked hard to shed light on these mysteries and many other intriguing artifacts. Students will discover the complex and fascinating roles of an Archaeologist, a person who researches like a historian, understands the layers of the earth like a geologist, pieces together clues like a detective, and digs, digs, digs. Following Essential Concepts listed in the Iowa Core, your class will learn about Archaeology and Egypt.
