Summer Stories & More ICN sessions are correlated with the national summer reading program. The theme for 2013 is Dig Into Reading. Sessions consist of a story read aloud, a professional guest presenter, and an activity. Each week is a new topic and several opportunities to participate.

THIS WEEK

Just Dig It

Several members of Health Corps and Food Corps will be teaching us about gardening and root vegetables. We'll be reading the stories Tops and Bottoms and How Did That Get In My Lunch Box.

To end this session we'll do some potato stamping! Simply cut a potato in half, use the open side to dip into paint, and then stamp onto some paper. Materials needed: Paper, Paint, Potatoes, and a knife.
