Subject Areas:

    Guidance/Personal Growth
Sign up today for this free and fun ICN session that can be offered to kids who visit your library this summer! These sessions offer a great learning opportunity, and early career exploration, for your young community members.

During the session, kids will learn all about what an archaeologist does in her work. This staff member from the University of Iowa, Office of the State Archaeologist, specializes in the study of people who once roamed the plains. During the session she will conduct a really fun inquiry-based activity. No supplies needed by the library.

Library staff may want to pull books from their stacks for younger readers that represent the field of archaeology.

Sessions are provided at no cost by Iowa Public Television in collaboration with the Iowa Communications Network to PK-12 students and the adults working with or on behalf of PK-12 students in Iowa.
