Visit with a pioneer woman (a naturalist from the Polk County Conservation Board) as she relays the changes in the Iowa landscape and how these changes have affected wildlife. She will also explain what life was like on the prairie. Students will get an opportunity to guess the use of many household items used during the 1800's.
The interactive program also allows time for student questions, so please work with students in advance to prepare a couple of appropriate questions.

Following the ICN session, registrants receive a complimentary Laura Ingalls Wilder book or alternate title.
