Arthur's Birthday Party
Subject Areas:
    Language Arts/Communication
    Mathematics

Happy Birthday Arthur! Arthur will always be 8 years old, but on May 25th, 2010, he celebrates his 34nd anniversary! Yes, it was over 30 years ago when author Marc Brown first created Arthur as a bedtime story for his son.

Join us as we prepare to celebrate this monumental occasion! Presenters engage students in interdisciplinary activities designed to foster learning while having fun celebrating Arthur's birthday. We will vote for our favorite snacks, sing Arthur's theme song, create a personalized napkin, read Arthur's Birthday by Marc Brown, and use our language arts skills to write clues to guess Arthur's gift.

Your students may send Arthur homemade birthday cards c/o IPTV. We will read some of the cards aloud during the ICN session.
