A meeting of an ETC ad hoc committee for scheduling disputes was held on June 2, 2000, from 3:30-4:30 p.m. at Iowa Public Television and various ICN sites. The following members were present: Bob Barak, representing Board of Regents; David Montgomery, DE/CIANS; Paul Bowers, IAICU; Mary Gannon, IASB; Gail Sullivan, DE; and Pam Pfitzenmaier, IPTV, facilitated. Debbie Fiscus was also present to take notes.
IIA. ICN Scheduling Dispute
The purpose of this ad hoc committee meeting was to discuss and make a recommendation concerning an ICN scheduling dispute between the Indianola Community School District and the Des Moines Diocese. Following a review of written comments from both parties and a lengthy discussion, the ad hoc committee made the following motion:
Bob Barak moved to rule in favor of the Des Moines Diocese with the stipulation that if the Diocese should find that they will not need the room or that they expect less than 3 participants at the Indianola site, they are to notify Indianola within 30 days of the November 13 session that they will release it.
David Montgomery seconded.
Ayes-5, Nays-0, Not voting-0, Absent-0. All in favor. Motion passed.
The meeting of this ETC ad hoc committee adjourned at 4:30 p.m.
