Iowa lost one of its most noted humanitarians and agricultural scientists. During his lifelong work to fight world hunger through crop research, Dr. Norman Borlaug became just one of five people in history to receive three top honors: The Nobel Peace Prize, the Presidential Medal of Freedom, and the Congressional Gold Medal.

Friday night, Iowa Public Television will air an hour-long documentary produced by Courter  Films and Associates and underwritten by The Mathile Foundation for Human Nutrition. The same producers put together the following story.
