Nativity Scene Created by POWs

A prisoner of war (POW) camp was established during World War II in Algona. Under the leadership of one POW, Eduard Kaib, a massive nativity scene was constructed at Christmas time in 1945. It has been preserved in Algona and is still exhibited each Christmas.
