Dean  Borg

Dean Borg (Host)

Host and moderator Dean Borg is an original IOWA PRESS team member. His participation in the weekly half-hour news and interview program dates to the premiere edition in 1971.

Borg is familiar to Iowa Public Television's statewide audience, having hosted Public Affairs presentations on IPTV and PBS for more than 30 years, including a weekly in-depth report on the Iowa General Assembly. His award-winning work and experience as an Iowa journalist provides unique insight and perspective for reporting on contemporary issues and newsmakers.

Borg is currently Senior Producer/Correspondent for WSUI at the University of Iowa and a frequent contributor to National Public Radio (NPR). He previously was news director for the WMT Radio and Television Stations, Cedar Rapids, and reported from South Vietnam during the war there.

Borg holds degrees in journalism and public administration from Iowa State University and The University of Iowa. He is a native of Forest City, Iowa.

Jeneane  Beck

Jeneane Beck (Panelist)

Jeneane Beck is the Des Moines Bureau Chief for KUNI Public Radio in Cedar Falls.

As KUNI's primary Statehouse reporter, Beck covers the political beat and the Iowa General Assembly, and is heard in frequent reports on the station's Morning Edition and on the afternoon news almanac, All Things Considered.

Additionally, Beck hosts a monthly call-in program with Governor Tom Vilsack for KUNI, and previously was host and moderator of the monthly call-in program with Governor Terry Branstad on WHO, Des Moines.

Beck is a 1993 Journalism graduate of Iowa State University, and is a native of Ames, Iowa.

Mike  Glover

Mike Glover (Panelist)

Mike Glover is the Senior Legislative and Political Reporter for the Des Moines bureau of the Associated Press.

Glover has covered the Iowa Legislature and the Iowa political scene for nearly 30 years, and is widely recognized for his campaign and election expertise. His Statehouse and pre-election copy is carried in a majority of newspapers across Iowa.

Glover covers politics on a national scale for the Associated Press, as well, and frequently is on the road providing campaign reporting. He has covered presidential elections nationally for the Associated Press Washington Bureau for several election cycles. Additionally, Glover's expertise on the Iowa Caucus often makes him a source of political analysis for a number of national news programs.

Prior to joining the Associated Press in 1980, Glover worked at newspapers in Fort Dodge, Iowa and Bloomington, Illinois.

Glover is a journalism and Political Science graduate of Western Illinois University in Macomb, Illinois. He holds a Master of Public Administration degree from Drake University. He is a native of Clinton, Illinois.

O. Kay Henderson

O. Kay Henderson (Panelist)

O. Kay Henderson is the News Director for Radio Iowa, a 60-station network owned and operated by Learfield Communications.

Along with news director duties, Henderson serves as Radio Iowa's chief Statehouse correspondent. Henderson covers the annual Iowa Legislative Session, and has extensive experience in campaign and election coverage. She also writes a blog which can be found at www.radioiowa.com.

Additionally, Henderson has served as President of the multi-state, State Radio Network News Directors Association, and as President of the Iowa Broadcast News Association.

In 2002, Henderson won the IBNA's Jack Shelley Award, the organization's highest honor "recognizing outstanding contribution to the cause of professional broadcast journalism in Iowa."
