From Burlington to Sioux City, great architecture is seemingly everywhere you look. In “A Century of Iowa Architecture,” IPTV’s High Definition cameras have captured the details and drama of some of the finest buildings in the world, located right here in Iowa. Iowa Public Television uses a list of Iowa’s “50 Most Significant Buildings of the 20th Century” created by the Iowa Chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) as an opportunity to discover the history of our state in the faces of our buildings. But more than that, this documentary talks with those who design and appreciate buildings to find out why Iowans have reason to be proud of the outstanding structures we see every day.
