In the Cedar Rapids/Waterloo area, Dr. Max and Mombo ruled the airwaves as the most beloved children’s TV show in the area. For 20 years, young eastern Iowans tuned in to see the cheerful antics of Dr. Max and his sidekick Mombo as they introduced cartoons on the “magic board”.
