(Johnston, Iowa) – Thursday’s episode of The Iowa Journal will examine the state of gambling in Iowa. The program airs Thursday, February 14 at 8:30 p.m. It will be rebroadcast Friday, February 15 at 9:30 p.m. on statewide IPTV-Plus and will also be available online at Iptv.org.
From racetracks, to riverboat casinos to now having casino resorts, the state of Iowa has a history of gambling. What is the state of gambling in Iowa right now? This episode of The Iowa Journal will examine Iowa's 17 casinos, some based by land, others on water, who owns the facilities, the taxes they pay, and what things their profits have funded.
