Iowa Public Television Honored with Five IMPA Awards

May 8, 2007

Iowa Public Television was recognized for excellence and achievement during Saturday’s Iowa Motion Picture Association (IMPA) awards ceremony. The network received awards for coverage of the first-ever National Special Olympics held last summer in Ames, Iowa, a travel program about great food around the Midwest, and a documentary about Iowa’s churches. The network also received a technical award for its College Wrestling programming.

Iowa Public Television was honored with two Awards of Excellence and three Awards of Achievement for these IPTV productions:

Award of Excellence

  • Documentary: National Special Olympics
  • Entertainment (Short Form): Taste of the Midwest

Award of Achievement

  • Entertainment (Long Form): Iowa Places of Worship
  • Script Writing (Produced): Iowa Places of Worship
  • Animation: College Wrestling
