World Food Prize Laureates: On the Thursday, October 16 edition of The Iowa Journal

(Johnston, Iowa) – Former U.S. Senators Robert Dole and George McGovern will be featured on the next episode of The Iowa Journal. This episode will air Thursday, October 16 at 8:30 p.m. on statewide Iowa Public Television and IPTV HD. It will repeat on Friday, October 10 at 6:30 p.m. on IPTV and at 7 p.m. Friday on IPTV HD. The program, as well as additional interviews and information, will also be available online at Iptv.org.
Senators Dole and McGovern are the 2008 World Food Prize Laureates honored this week in Des Moines for their leadership and commitment to the creation of school feeding programs to feed some of the world’s poorest nations. Each day, 800 million people in the world go hungry, and 300 million of them are children. In this week’s episode, host Paul Yeager will speak with the laureates about their work to curb world hunger.
