Iowa PublicTelevision Premieres National Ed Sullivan Special

EdSullivan: The Sixties makes its national debut on IPTV Sunday, September 20 at 7p.m.


(Johnston, Iowa)  -- On Sunday, September 20 at 7 p.m., Iowa PublicTelevision will present an all-new special of classic song performances from TheEd Sullivan Show between 1963 and 1968. Ed Sullivan: The Sixtieswill make its national debut in IowaSunday.

            From The Beatles’ Americantelevision debut in 1964 to The Doors’ infamous one-time-only appearance, TheEd Sullivan Show served up an unparalleled roster of timeless artists. Ed Sullivan: The Sixties focuses exclusively on full-length performancesthat evoke the spirit of that decade’s youth movement.

Performances include: The Beatles - “I Want to Hold YourHand” and “She Loves You”; The Rolling Stones - “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction”;The Beach Boys – “I Get Around” and “Good Vibrations”; Frankie Valli & TheFour Seasons – “Big Girls Don’t Cry”; The Mamas & The Papas – “CaliforniaDreamin’” and “Monday, Monday”; and many more.
