Urbandale Native Starsin National Music Program on IPTV

Tyler Trepp, a member of “StraightNo Chaser,” stars in a new holiday special December 24

(Johnston, Iowa)  -- A holiday music program by a cappella groupStraight No Chaser, featuring Urbandale native Tyler Trepp, will air statewide onIowa Public Television Thursday, December 24 at 7:30 p.m. Straight No Chaser – Live in NewYork features holiday music from the ‘50s and ‘60s, as well as Motownand contemporary hits.

            Trepp is a2003 graduate of Urbandale High School and holds a degree from Indiana University.He is musical director for Straight No Chaser, an a cappella group featuring 10male vocalists singing in harmony. The group, currently signed with AtlanticRecords,  performs across the country, withan Iowa Cityconcert on its December schedule.  

            StraightNo Chaser – Live in New York is one of several Christmas Eve programswith Iowaties. At 6:30 p.m., IPTV features Old-Time Country Christmas, whichwas produced at Iowa Public Television studios. The program is followed by theStraight No Chaser special, and then at 8:30 p.m. Iowa native Andy Williams stars in HappyHolidays: The Best of the Andy Williams Christmas Shows. Another Iowa PublicTelevision production, Tony Sandler’s Holiday Greetings, willair at 9:30 p.m.
