IPTV Kids’ Day at the Zoo May 29
Kids can meet Buddy from Dinosaur Train, hear a story, do
crafts, and more
at the Blank Park Zoo
(Johnston, Iowa) -- Kids of all ages can meet Buddy, a cautious but curious T-Rex – and see lots of other animals too! – during IPTV Kids’ Day at the Blank Park Zoo in Des Moines, Saturday, May 29. Buddy, the star of the new PBS KIDS series Dinosaur Train, will be giving out hugs and posing for photos with fans. Plus, Dan Wardell from the IPTV Kids Clubhouse will be at the Zoo for two interactive story times – at 1 p.m. and 2 p.m.
Everyone is invited to this fun day, and the character will be available from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Admission prices are: adults (ages 13-64) $10.95; kids 3-12 $5.95; and senior citizens (65+) $8.95. Members of Friends of Iowa Public Television can receive free admission for their children when they show the coupon from their May Advance program guide.
Members of Friends are also invited to purchase tickets for a special “Breakfast with the Beasts” at the Zoo on Saturday at 8 and 9 a.m. During the kid-friendly breakfast, families can be the first to meet Buddy and Dan, and take a photo with them. They can also roam the Zoo before it opens, and see some of the animals waking up for the day. Space is limited, so members should call 800-728-2828 for pricing information and to reserve a spot as soon as possible.
