A Dream Fulfilled: The Saga of George Washington Carver, a new opera for children by Michael Patterson will be taped at the IPTV studios Tuesday, July 13 at 1:30 p.m. Commissioned by the Des Moines Metro Opera in cooperation with the State Historical Society of Iowa, A Dream Fulfilled traces the life and career of George Washington Carver from Winterset and Indianola, to the halls of Congress to the prestigious Tuskegee Institute.

A kid-friendly cookie reception will follow the opera and the cast will be on hand to talk wtih audience members. Kids and adults of all ages will enjoy this look at history.
