Iowa Public Television Showcases “Brucemorchestra” for a Statewide Audience in Stunning High Definition
Saturday’s Outdoor Concert Will Be Broadcast Statewide September 20 and 26
(Johnston, Iowa) -- When the 89th season of Orchestra Iowa of Cedar Rapids opens this Saturday, Iowa Public Television will be on-site to produce high-definition coverage for a statewide audience.
The event, which takes place on the lawn of the Brucemore Mansion in Cedar Rapids, will feature selections from Wagner’s “Ring Cycle” and Holst’s “The Planets.” Iowa Public Television will record the performance with six high-definition cameras using the state’s only HD mobile production unit.
This technology allows Iowa Public Television to share the concert with the rest of the state when Orchestra Iowa: Brucemorchestra from Cedar Rapids is broadcast Monday, September 20 at 8 p.m. The program will be re-broadcast Sunday, September 26 at 4:30 p.m.
