Iowa Public Television Presents Live Coverage of Four Important State Government Events in January
Condition of the State, Condition of the Judiciary, Inauguration Ceremony and Budget Address to air live and in primetime

(Johnston, Iowa) – Continuing its tradition of quality local public affairs coverage, Iowa Public Television will present on-the-air and online coverage of four key events this month: the Condition of the State Address, the Condition of the Judiciary Address, the Governor’s Inauguration Ceremony, and the Governor’s Budget Address.

Each program will air live on IPTV WORLD (.3) and will be streamed live at www.iptv.org/IowaPress. The programs will be rebroadcast in primetime on Iowa Public Television (.1).
•       On Tuesday, January 11, Governor Chet Culver will address the legislature to report on the Condition of the State at 10 a.m. The speech will air live on IPTV WORLD, and will be rebroadcast at 7 p.m. on IPTV.

•       Interim Chief Justice of the Iowa Supreme Court Mark Cady will present the Condition of the Judiciary address to the legislature on Wednesday, January 12 at 10 a.m. In addition to live coverage on IPTV WORLD, the speech will also air at 9:30 p.m. Wednesday on IPTV.

•       On Friday, January 14 at 9 a.m., IPTV will broadcast live coverage of the inauguration of Terry E. Branstad as governor and Kim Reynolds as lieutenant governor. The ceremony and inaugural address will also air Friday evening at 8:30.

•       The 2011 budget is the topic of Governor Branstad’s address to the legislature on Thursday, January 27 at 10 a.m. It will air again that evening at 8 on IPTV.
