Adventureland
Series
The
Palace Theatre at Adventureland Park, located in Altoona,
Iowa, just outside of
Des
Moines, Iowa, served as a unique concert setting for Iowa
Public Television to videotape numerous jazz programs in
the mid to late 1970's.
Featuring
many established jazz stars, these ten, one-hour programs
were broadcast both on Iowa Public Television and nationally
over the Public Broadcasting System (PBS).
