Studio III Presents is a series produced at Iowa Public Television to showcase the talents of Iowa performing artists. Jazz has been an integral part of this series with many groups from Iowa appearing since the series began in 1988. Some of those appearing were:

Burlington Steamboat Days Festival

Iowa Public Television recorded 16 jazz programs from this festival which was held on the banks of the Mississippi River. Groups included were

PeeWee Matese, Queen City Jazz Band, Sid Dawson, Dejans Olympia Band, Chet Bogan's Wolverine Jazz Band, The Chicago Hot Six, Steve Behr and the Behr Cats, The Johnson County Landmark Jazz Band

 

1984 and 1986

Iowa Bandmasters Association

Iowa Public Television recorded 28 programs from the concert sessions of these events. Eighteen high school and middle school jazz bands were recorded along with The Des Moines Big Band, The Johnson County Landmark Band,
